Sales manager
My purpose of job:
I led and inspired my team to optimize the shopping experience to secure satisfied customers and increased sales and profitability in your store. I reached it by using your knowledge of the IKEA product range, the local market, competition and customers. My leadership is based on performing and delivering while learning and developing in the business. I used the IKEA tools and expertise of your team and my colleagues to support me. In my strategies and actions, I always considered and steered the business in a multichannel retail environment, particularly the IKEA store and IKEA website. I actively worked towards fulfilling the four tasks of the IKEA store:
• to act as a highly efficient, and staffed, sales mechanism;
• to show home furnishing solutions full of inspiring home furnishing ideas;
• to serve as a well-qualified home furnishing specialist;
• to provide a day out for the whole family.
My assignments:
I have the right number of competent co-workers in the right place at the right time and securing that they are fully able and available to serve customers and actively help them to buy.
My area is in excellent shape as new and fully and efficiently stocked with the four merchandising basics in place at all times and that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy customers.
My team had all the correct knowledge about the product range in your department and the IKEA services so that they can share this with IKEA customers to improve their overall shopping experience.
I understood the different IKEA sales and communication channels and IKEA know-how in order to make the best commercial use of this information for different customers.
I took responsibility for my department goals and secure that my action plan ensures the country priorities for my Home Furnishing Business are implemented in my store. I followed up and took action accordingly by using proven solutions and good examples (I always was higher expectations – more than +6-15% to forecasts for several last years).
Me and my team actively sales steer to our department’s top-selling products, prioritized products (e.g. overstock) and IKEA service products in order to maximize sales and long-term profitability (We was the best team in achieving active sales results more than for 3 years among IKEA RU stores).
I'm acted quickly on commercial opportunities; changing availability of products (overstock and out of stock) and customer feedback (e.g. 10 most asked questions).
I kept an active eye on the competition and took appropriate action when necessary which I communicated to my matrix partner in the Service Office.
I developed my team and its individual members and ensured that I have a succession in place (For several last years I trained and prepared 5 team leaders for different areas, from co-workers to leaders – sales, Customer Relation, etc.).
I'm actively promoted the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with my team to understand how, together, I can contribute to sustainability.

New Kitchen Store Implementation Group (Sales responsible, MAY’14 – SEP’15):
Main descriptions of responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the inspiring solutions for the METRO stores planning in implementing New Kitchen Range;
2. Responsible for the physical range change and allocation (fase-in and fase-out range process);
3. Responsible for the budget part: analyzing, calculating and reviewing (some part of working hours, internal transactions, equipments, in/external solutions, adjustments, etc.);
4. Timelines scheduling organization and controlling;
5. Commercial team coordination regarding range change in the different areas on the store level.
Store stock losses group (Sales responsible, JUL’15 – MAR’16):
Main descriptions of responsibilities:
1. Control and organization of internal operations to optimize costs in the sales department;
2. Setting priorities in the implementation of tasks in the sales department;
3. Analysis of the actions and decision-making and implementation of new solutions to reduce costs;
4. Organization and control tasks to reduce costs and internal transactions;
5. Preparation and monitoring of the implementation of routines to optimize costs.
New planning tool implementation (Sales responsible on RU level, OCT’15 – MAR’16):
Main descriptions of responsibilities:
1. Coordination with external companies for the implementation of the new tool;
2. Developing new ways and working methods to improve the quality of customer satisfactions;
3. Goals settings for the implementation of the pilot stores of the new tool;
4. Monitoring and adjustment of the new instrument malfunctions;
5. Timelines scheduling organization and controlling;
6. Budget process responsible;
7. The analysis of such tools in the WEB-environment, as well as moderation and implementation of improvements in the new tool.
